ENBE TJ 3- 5 Senses In The City

In this final journal, the task given was to choose a site in Kuala Lumpur city to be observed, recorded and elaborated. The areas that we could choose were
  • Petaling Street
  • Bukit Bintang
  • Masjid Jamek and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman area
  • Dataran Merdeka area
Using 5 senses experiences on the visited site and visual-note taking technique, we are required to put in all of our information gathered and thoughts into a 5-10 pages journal.
  • My Progress
The site that I have chosen after doing my own research was Dataran Merdeka area. It is a place full of Islamic architectural elements which is one of the major landmarks in Kuala Lumpur city. It was chill and fun to have chances to visit a site with classmates for an assignments instead of doing all the research through websites and library books. Without wasting time, the journey had begun!

Reflection:
I learned to use my five senses more effectively and I realised the senses that we are all gifted are truly important for us to experience more in our life. They are also important in the field that I am studying, which is about the natural and built environments. Look, hear, smell, taste and touch as much as possible the things that appear surrounding us. We will learn more things and lessons in our entire life.
TGC logoThe process of making this journal taught me about lifelong learning. Learning is not only in the classroom but everywhere we could be. Using every senses that we have at anytime and anywhere we are, we could earn so much things other than the knowledge taught in books and by lecturers. To learn more, we should have our own dig in and experience ourselves the things we are looking into.
