Overview of Foundation in Natural and Built Environments (FNBE)

In Taylor's University Lakeside Campus, this programme aims to introduce students to the different fields of study in the natural and built environments, and equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a degree in Architecture or Quantity Surveying (QS).

Duration: 1 year

The 6 subjects in semester 1:
                                                                                           

    1. Elements of Natural and Built Environment ----------- 5 credit hours
    2. Introduction to the Construction Industry -------------- 5 credit hours
    3. Creative Thinking Skills ---------------------------------- 4 credit hours
    4. English I ----------------------------------------------------- 5 credit hours
    5. Introduction to Drawing ---------------------------------- 3 credit hours
    6. Constructed Landscape ----------------------------------- 3 credit hours

              2. Culture and Civilisations---------------------------------- 4 credit hours

              6. Effective Public Communication------------------------- 2 credit hours
