CTS Project 1- Musical Performance

How would you imagine people performing with big black trash bags? Surely enough you would say it's nasty and impossible. But that was what we did for our first ever CTS project. *Check it out!

 For this project, we were given plastic bags as our daily project. By using the object as our main prop, we're required to come up with a group musical performance in a creative way.

Objective: To let students be able to apply practical, critical and creative thinking skills within assignments.

Reflection:
Different people never would have the similar opinions and thoughts. In the process of compiling this project, there are some disagreement in our discussion which leads to unsatisfaction among my group members. Some of us refused to share opinions and cooperate well during our performance practice and this causes some awkwardness among us. I have learnt to tolerate with my group mates, be forgiving and cooperate better with people.

    ENBE Project 1- Representing Nature

    With everything settled, I slung my bag on my shoulder and left my room. 100 of FNBE students were going for a big mission at D'ark Resort, Janda Baik. How could that possibly not including me? *laugh

    This 3 day trip was actually for our first project ever in ENBE, where we get to experience the nature and be part of it as much as possible. 
    Intro about this project
     The main tasks of this project are to explore, experience, and appreciate the natural habitat during a site visit. In groups we will have to transfer our experiences and information collected from the site on to the info graphic pop up poster and a 5-7 minute documentary video. The info graphic exhibition booth will concentrate on the habitat and ecosystem. The Documentary Video should focus on the our experience at site, concise understanding of the habitat and ecosystem and to include an awareness message. Individually we are required to produce a scrapbook journal of our experiences and information collected at site.  
    In brief, the main tasks are
    A. Site Visit – Exploring, Experiencing and Appreciating Nature  to collect data– Group Work
    B. Documentary Video – Group Work 5%
    C. The Info Graphic Pop Up Poster – Group Work 15%
    D. Individual Scrapbook Journal – Individual Work 10% 
    After all the enjoyable part, here comes the serious work..

    Here are a few progress of our group work that I have recorded.

    Reflection:

    From the site visit, documentary video recording and all the way to the completion of my scrapbook journal, I have gained a lot. I've expand my knowledge widely in natural environments while exploring my site and further investigating the living and non-living elements found in it.
    What I've learnt?



    Thinking and Problem Solving Skills

    • I can now recognise and identify elements in natural and built environments. I learned to solve the questions in my mind about the issues in the natural environment using my observation during the site visit using my 5 senses.


    Lifelong Learning

    • I understand more about environment and how the ecosystem works by itself through my own experiences in the nature. By learning this, I think I am now capable to care and preserve the natural surroundings.


    Communication Skills

    • To give and to take- the best way to reach agreement and satisfaction among group members. I learned to discuss with my other group members to come into agreements in doing the group work.
